Now that is a real camera. I have on with 4"x5" format and a 4"x5" Graflex Model D. Use then with both eye open and there is no need to be a chimp chump. I have no need to instant photographs mainly because I know what I am doing.

I guess that you have not noticed that Polaroid when out of business decades ago. No one uses Polaroid film any longer.

If you were using a Hasselblad then you would have a big screen and you could see what was happening up to the exposure. Toss the 35mm camera and get a real camera.

Duh, and how is chimpin' going to work for a film camera. It is not going to happen. Get over it, good film photographers know whether or not they got the shot and looking at the back of the camera for a view of the latent image is not going to work. Most of the chimps do not know what they...

And again not chimpin'. The photograph has been taken and developed so at that point another photograph can not be made.

Rollei superpan 200- what are these marks?

Bubbles on the film surface. Probably not enough chemistry. Fill the tank to cover the reels plus some more.

And the Hasselblad 503 CX does not show the image after the exposure because the mirror is up, so I have never been able to chimp and have never had the need. I know when I have gotten the photograph.

    Film stucks in reel

Yes, reels just like other components secretly are in contact and arrange causing us problems. I pull my film off the reels and then for black & white the film is immersed in PhotoFlo.

    Stop Bath.. How important?

I have not had need of the Film Development Cookbook. I am happy with the results that I get. Ralph's and PE's opinions are good enough for me.

    Film stucks in reel

Ian Flemming did Dry Gin Martini's a great disservice. In one James Bond book is wrote, "Vodka, stirred, not shaken." The rest he wrote, "Vodka, shaken not stirred." Vodka Martini is not a martini, it is an abomination. Shaking oxidizes the alcohol and that reduces the taste of the...

    Did the reel do this?

No, not from air during inversion. The bubbles get attached when either liquid is first touching the film [one reason people presoak the film with water] and less likely when a new chemical touches the water. Hence my advice on post #13. Please reread post #13.

Why use the pencil on the reels? Because it works. It does not cause dust or scratches. Try it, you will like it.

Very thin negatives, dark scans - what am I doing wrong?

The flaw with underexposing and over developing is that with under exposure shadow detail is lost forever.
