Threaded Bottle Funnel

I found one of these at a company that sells body and paint supplies. It was $10 plus shipping.

Looking around I found them in two pack for a bit cheaper:

These are nice for pouring re-usable chemistry back into 0.5/1.0 Liter Boston Round bottles.

Why would you want this?
If you pour a little too fast, air can't escape and the developer will bubble straight up into your face.

Also, the standard funnel pours into the opening of the bottle without getting any on the edge or the outside. Unscrewing one of these might drip developer (or whatever) down the outside of the bottle.

Actually not in my experience so far. There is an inner lip that seems to prevent this.

I wondered that there might be, so I edited my original statement from "will drip" to "might drip".

Hasn't yet so far....

I have been quite happy and have made sure I have several in case I feel the need to lose one or dedicate to a specific chemistry. They also work reasonably well as a pouring spout.

I guess vent holes outside of the inner lip, would allow these to work as well as a normal funnel.
However I've never had a stability issue with normal funnels for liquids & wide necked funnels for solids. Any knock that might unseat a funnel would probably knock over the screwed together bottle/funnel combination.

IMO it's solving a problem that doesn't exist.

I can see a tiny advantage - in that the funnel would be less likely to be dislodged by too much liquid ingress flow.
But not much more benefit than that.
