I don't know why you'd get laughing emoji's as a response, as there is nothing wrong with 220--it's just out of date film and no longer being produced. That said, out of date film is often sold. So I don't get the laughter. Personally, I wish 220 were still available.
I think you have to pull the darkslide out or at least out about 1/4 inch to fire the shutter, in addition to putting the multiexposure lever to multiple position--rotate the film wind handle to cock the shutter, and rotate the shutter locking ring.
You can't focus UV with the eye because you can't see it. You would need something that converts UV to visible light, like fluorescent paint. Maybe you could paint the easel and then use the bare easel to focus? That would probably resolve the lens focus shift issue as well.
The Freestyle Anaret is new old stock, and on clearance. I bought the Meopta Meogon 50mm and 80mm lenses from Freestyle for a lot more than what they are charging for the Anaret. It appears to be the last of their Meopta inventory.
If you are considering the 150mm Rodenstock, your enlargement...
While I would recommend the Schneider Comparon 105mm lens--it is also a 4-element design--it most commonly is found in a 32.5 mm lens mount. You'd either need a thread adapter or a custom lens board with it, and you might or might not have a retaining ring with the lens. Those little parts which...
Buy this lens new for $35: https://www.freestylephoto.biz/110257-Meopta-Anaret-105mm-f-4.5-enlarging-lens
It's a 4-element, but I've read that the optics were built by Schneider and Meopta just mounted them--they are very nicely finished and I doubt you'd ever be sorry you bought it. It...
Higher temp developer will react with paper just as it does with film--faster developing time and higher grain. Dilute the developer when you start the session with colder water to balance to 68 degrees and you'll be OK--temp will rise to room temperature throughout your printing session, but...
I used an outdoor type switch for the white lights so that it was a completely different style of switch--there would be no mistaking it for the safelight switch. See: https://greenfieldkdl1pweath8ty0.wordpress.com/
The last darkroom I built was about 9 by 14 feet. I placed track lighting strips high on the wall (about 18 inches below the ceiling) with the reflectors pointing to the ceiling--I did strips along the 2 long walls. The overall effect was very bright but diffuse lighting. I was very happy with...
