I suggest we take this conversation in private, so as not to hijack the main topic of the thread. Street photography should thrive more in a film forum.
The deer in Nara are a quite different story than the 3-Point bucks in the Santa Cruz Mountains. I guess it is normal for wild animals to...
I know of Plato Rivellis, a photographic figurehead in Greece since the '80s. Not really a fan of his photographic and teaching style, but he did wonders back then, in a time when getting properly exposed to good photography was extremely difficult. I think he got a bit left behind after the...
Japan stills.
Shot with the Leica M7 (Summicron 35mm/2, Voigtlander 28mm/2.8) and the Contax G2 (Carl Zeiss 21mm/2.8) on Kentmere 400.
You can have a look at all the images here. I selected 44 frames from a total of 9 rolls shot through 10 days.
I seem to have mislaid the instruction manual for my Tetenal Colortec Film-Lab film processor.
I remember downloading a PDF off a site somewhere, maybe five years ago. I tried a thousand ways of googling for it but I came up empty.
Does anyone happen to have the instruction manual and would...
NYC streets.
Shot with the Contax G2 & the 28mm lens on Adox HR-50 & Rollei Superpan 200. I like contrast.
You can have a look at all the images here. I selected ~40 frames from a total of 9 rolls shot through 9 days.
I was also posting at that RPX 25 thread. That unevenness is not the same as with this film.
In any case, I have found solutions for both films: developed at HC-110 dil H (1:63) for double the time, and the results are okay. Tried machine rotation for the HR-50 and hand agitation for the RPX 25...
They still are within expiration date, I got a brick of 10 rolls six months ago and have used half of them. They have been stored in the refrigerator from day 1, along with all my other films.
A couple of them spent some time outside the refrigerator before they were used, say 3-4 weeks, but...
Adox HR-50 is shaping up to be my favourite 35mm film. It loves sunlight and contrasty scenes, and it can be pushed one stop (more contrast, yay). It is not very forgiving when it comes to correct exposure, but when you nail the exposure, its style is remarkable.
I shoot it outdoors, I shoot...
I am reviving this old thread. Five years later, it seems Rollei RPX 25 still has trouble with mottling.
I shot a number of rolls of medium format RPX 25 and this issue is still here. Tried pre-soaking, tried different developers, nothing is happening.
The first image was shot a couple of days...
A big question mark, though, goes to "could it be something with this particular batch of Adox stock?"
Or maybe the storage process? I bought 10 rolls a couple of months ago. Then they spent a couple of weeks outside the fridge, in cool weather (15-20 celsius), without any direct sunlight. And...
Well yes, but isn't it a sort of a challenge to get this film working in a different process? 8-)
I really don't mind burning through a couple of rolls just to see how I can achieve this.
Indeed I don't think it' a scanning issue. I've scanned high contrast films before (both in 35mm and 120...
Scanning was done on a Noritsu, along with 15 other films (Ilford and Kentmere, medium format and 35mm). None of the other films exhibited this problem.
I will shoot some more of this film and try it again on HC-110 1:63 for 9 mins. I will try developing two films at the same time, one on the...
