Ladder, no hard hat, but a neon jacket to look official. Unsuspiciously conspicuous, you could say :D And a backpack full of cameras and cable ties.I have done it on all times of the day. Sometimes, there is conversations with interested passers-by and some even recognize, that it's pinhole...
Thank you! There was an old fancy lamp post with flower pots at the top, i tied it up between those pots ~3-4m over the ground and got lucky :D
There was a second camera on the top of a sign post next to it but it got removed. That one was really exposed, though and i didn't have a note on it...
Hah, i finally got the same effect with lines brighter in the scan / darker in the positive than the sky.
I just thought: maybe at some point metallic silver can form from the silver halides in an amount that gets a little bit shiny and thus brighter in the scan?
@MattKing: Thanks very much for the access!
an
@Niglyn: Thanks for the PM(s) i will keep you updated and bring a sweet video for this thread as soon as i get it working.
Seems i got some faulty Sensors, 7,19€ for a bundle of 5 Sensors and 5 Lasers, wasn't worth it.. Better buy the ones from the...
Hi @Niglyn
i finally got around to build this project, after some health issues that threw me off track.
No i ran into multiple problems, i had some old code saved but don't get it to work.
Trying to run it via Firmware Update now on Arduino v2.0.0.3 but i need a passkey.
I still don't have...
Thanks for the advice koraks! I already found those numbers suspicious. Guess i will look around some more to find a good scanner on a budget, that still runs on Win 10/11, maybe with third party drivers.
1200-1800dpi is enough to enlarge a 13x18cm Paper to DIN A3 anyways.
You are right, the...
Oh thank you so very much! It's primarily for a school project after all and doesn't need to be top notch.
But i definately have some pracical use for it, as i am connected to lot's of analog photographers in my town who may want to use it.
And as i am just now getting my education as...
I have seen very good reviews on the Canon Lide 400 Scanner which comes for under 100 Bucks.
Some report issues with the driver/software on Win 11, though.
Anyone got experience with that one? The 4800dpi seem very nice, especially for enlarging smaller prints.
I am going to use it so scan some...
Hi everyone, especially Niglyn.
Just signed up to the forum as i am diving deeper and deeper into the thematic.
Trying to build a shutter "time" tester for an evening school project and i will try out the Arduino version first because i already got most of the parts, but i already ordered the...
Hello HatHair, are you still around?
I am now getting deeper and deeper into solargraphy and just stumbled over this forum while i was looking for Arduino based Shutter testing :D
I don't think the bands are caused by something obscuring the view, it's more likely caused by moisture.
I had...
This is awesome, i already wondered if there is a way to fix the Solargraphys, maybe even after scanning to get the original image. If i can do, i will try the process and Post before/afters
Hi yesica-s, are you still hooked? I just joined the Forum for another project, but i am also getting started deep into Solargraphy. Replying so i will get notified about new activity.
Oh this is so nice, i just stumbled into this Forum for a thread about curtain speed testing with an arduino setup and now i see, there is also fellow solargraphers :D
