What to do with old Leitz Prado projector?

Hello! I want to thank you for your encouragement for sticking with waiting for a good home for my projector. I just sold it to a local collector. I'll keep you posted about the old Revere...Thanks again!

What to do with old Leitz Prado projector?

Thanks so much! I just finished reading the how-to post. I think I will try another week or two on Craigslist/Marketplace, then post it here for free. Someone may want it for Christmas...

What to do with old Leitz Prado projector?

Thanks, this is a good idea. I will post it there...and maybe ask a little for my packing-up time.

What to do with old Leitz Prado projector?

Thanks, of course I won't literally toss it. I may try some prop houses here in LA, I also have our old Revere projector, that used rectangular slide trays.

What to do with old Leitz Prado projector?

Thanks. I tried that, figuring the lenses would be a draw. Maybe a museum? There is the "pradoseum", http://www.pradoseum.eu/englisch-version/index-en.html, but they already have one! I just don't want to throw it out...

What to do with old Leitz Prado projector?

Hi. I inherited a beautiful Leitz Prado projector, from around 1954, for slides and microscope slides. Really good condition, and still works. Two lenses, a Leitz Wetzlar Colorplan 90mm f/2.5 and a Leitz Wetzlar Elmar 50mm f/2.8. I called Leica and they have no ideas. Surely there's a Leica nerd...

Advice for faded old Polaroid Land prints

Yep, agree. I wish I knew whether they'd always looked this way, and are super underexposed vs. faded. Thanks!

Advice for faded old Polaroid Land prints

Excellent question! Pretty important, but super light and already hard to see. Not sure if they were always like this, or continuing to fade. They've been packed away, so not much light exposure. I guess I could scan them first?

Advice for faded old Polaroid Land prints

I have some very faded B/W pola prints, marked 1962 on the border. They appear to be uncoated. Two questions: did Polaroids still need coating in 1962? And, would re-coating them keep them from further fading? I have some old coaters that are still wet, from Type 55 Positive/negative film that I...

    Replacement for Canon IP4700

I've been really pleased for 10 years (!!!) with my inexpensive Canon pixma iP4700. It finally succumbed to the fatal 5B00 ink absorber pad error message. Any suggestions for a replacement? For large prints I go to a lab, I just need small prints, maybe up to 8.5 x 11. The iP4700 has a rear tray...

Epson Scan 2 discrepancy between preview and final scan

Thanks! Agree on all things, never add sharpening to scan. I will just deal with the results; the deviation from preview seems somewhat consistent so I guess it won't be too bad. Did you have any thoughts about why I see a different profile/version OUTSIDE of my cropped area? I assume THAT would...

Epson Scan 2 discrepancy between preview and final scan

Thanks, Alan. I do keep everything neutral, just using color profiles. The "Color Control" setting seems to be the default (I don't recall what it was in EpsonScan), but even that does not look like the final. And yes, I do always save as a TIFF. I guess I can just correct the scan, but it seems...
