This is great! I got three Kodak Ektapro 5000's gifted together with a host of those Stumpfl boxes where the included software, according to the previous owner, does not want to work on anything more modern then Windows XP. I think going the EktaproGUI road will be much more practival then...
Concerning processing, Jobo is still producing their tanks new. I always use the Multitank 2 (2520) with the sheetfilm reel. Works great both in the Jobo machines and when handprocessing.
Lots of second hand Jobo stuff I've seen being sold for near new prices, so don't dismiss buying new from...
Simon, it is clear you have the worst job.... I think many of us are jealous. You don't happen to need someone to help demonstrate your products? :whistling:
You remind me that I need to order some of that direct positive paper of yours. And build me that 8x10 camera.
I would not touch the shutter. If the dealer says it's easy to clean, let him clean it before any sale is final. For the price, the shutter should be clean and in decent condition. I don't know the price for a new shutter including labour, but I suspect it to be at least something like half what...
Hi sema,
This sounds like a great idea to add to your book. One thing I'm thinking about is that as a buyer/owner of your book I think I would like to have the ability to enjoy that image a tad longer. Maybe have the opportunity to see the image fade over the course of a day or evening, or...
Hi NishWish,
The Mamiya 645 ProTL is a very nice camera. For manuals I would check out http://www.butkus.org/chinon/. That guy has manuals for most cameras and accessories.
4. About the AE Finder FK402, I do have it somewhere but never use it, as the regular AE Prism finder is so much...
I've seen that mentioned every now and then on the internet, but have never been able to actually find proof of this. Do you know of a specific back, or a reference URL for this?
Nice list! And welcome.
I've got my own Pro TL with lenses myself. Nice system.
I think I have some remarks and information on your list. I'll check this and let you know when I'm done working.
Lars
Well, it's easy to get an F-stop smaller than 1. As you may or may not know, you calculate F-stop by dividing the focal length of the lens by the diameter of the opening. This means that a 50mm/1.0 has a maximum opening of 50 mm. This also means that a 50mm lens with a maximum opening of 100mm...
Hi,
Although Macodirect has decent service, I have not experienced them delivering very quickly. Maybe it's different when they are shipping with Germany, but next day delivery is very tricky. On the website they indicate an expected delivery within Germany of 2 to 3 days ("In der Regel...
Well, I finished the roll and have been bending all springs I saw. The leaf springs that keep tension on the spool were not difficult to tighten. The two broad ones that keep tension on the film itself were more difficult. I did not dare to bending then too much. Hopefully what I did is enough...
Hi Richard,
Thanks, I'll check out the springs as soon as this film is finished. I already ditched ('stored') the spool that cam with the camera when I started using it. 120 Spools aplenty if you do not throw away anything ;-)
Lars
Hi all,
Recently I scored a nice Zeiss Ikon Nettar with uncoupled working rangefinder and the Novar Anastigmat 3.5/75mm in the Prontor SV shutter (it says Ikonta M on the body though). Initial tests show that the rangefinder works fine, and the shutter works from 1/25 second reliably. So in...
