Koraks , that's a good question, I just quickly looked at a few articles and saw it was possible the cyan and yellow dyes can fade but leave the magenta. I think they were referencing much older stocks though. But yes, the stocks made now have much more stable dyes.
Ya, my guess is a lab tech...
I respool 65mm to 120 here in the U.S. and process dozens of ECN-2 for various labs weekly. I've never seen a roll like this before. It looks like a chemistry issue though, I don't think heat damage would be that even, or x-ray would be more swivels nothing uniform like this. I searched online...
I have a few thousand feet of 500T and 250D 65mm left but I'm predicting it'll be gobbled up soon online. It's a total shame to not be able to restock as I used to at Hollywood Kodak , I absolutely adore these emulsions. @PercyMcfly they have a department that calls you and goes over the details...
I am a niche respooler of 65mm , I cut 120 and 220 lengths under the title "Analog Abduction". Mercury Works is doing glorious work engineering hardware to make it possible to shoot 61mm because it really is absolutely stunning! I can't imagine how much work and time is put into the equipment...
Woah nice ! Thank you for the order- it's in the mail! Be sure to check the surfaces for any vapor after mixing or chemicals after weighing, if you wet a towel and it turns purple then it's on the surface still.
I haven't used blix in years , I've only seen comparisons online and seen blix...
Thank you for the shout! I have a CD-3 manufactured Sep 24th , it's fresh!
Have you tried a real world Blix vs separate Bleach vs. Fix test for the ECN-2 process yet? I've hadn't had time to , but it's definitely on my list. I am mainly looking for sharpness and grain size , if any difference...
Hi Photrio!
I have 1,500 grams of CD-3 that I would love to see go to new scratch mixing homes. I'm only asking for what I paid-12 cents a gram plus postage! I would rather know it's being used by other Photrio members rather than loosing potency on my shelf. This batch was manufactured on...
@Sirius Glass I sincerely appreciate the warm welcome!
@blee1996 Thank you!
1. I purchased 65mm from Kodak then cut it down myself and spool with night vision and used 120 paper.
2. I don't use any 85 filter when using the 500T in daylight (including the images I posted). I have used an 85B...
I primarily use motion , and have used the Kodak line over the past two years. I absolutely love the color pallet and always expose at 'box speed' but as others said, it does well with extra light! I know I don't always nail exposure, and since I scratch mix (I'm sure it varies a little bit by...
