    Cirkut film paper leader replacements?

I haven't really been following the threads here much. For leader paper, really any material that completely blocks to light and is flexible, works fine. If you use black paper, make sure it bends easily as lack of flexibility can cause banding. Someone sold me some film he spooled once, with...

    Electric motors for Cirkut cameras?

Various people did put motors in them, including Jim Lipari, and David Pascan. I don't know what kind they used though. Mine are all original spring motors.

    #6 Cirkut Camera Outfit Help

The lever could be jammed. I have that happen when it doesn't engage properly with the back. Springs break as well. Hard to know till you go inside. It's not super complicated. You need to disconnect the drum to pull it out after you unscrew the base screws. There are little set screws on the...

#10 Cirkut with broken main spring.

The McMaster Carr spring is probably your best bet long term. the repaired spots are going to cause banding- I'd be shocked if it didn't. The key to prepping is to soften the temper a bit right at the spot at the end that forms the keyhole, without messing with the temper in the rest of the...

That looks about right. I check by holing it up to the light. You do have to also watch for the very occasional pinholes

At one point I got some pre spooled #10 film from stanley stern. He did it that way, but I was skeptical. Nonetheless I tried it and it works well.

Yeah Light leaks are tough with this camera and home spooling. I've had the same issue. Cutting the leader as accurately as you can helps. What did you do for spools?

    Kodak Panoram 1D problem

Europepanorama - "talian Gardens was made with an ALVISTA. photographer told it was a big pain." I'm curious about this. Are there images online from this? I'd like to know more. Thanks!I have shot lots of photos with Al-Vista's, and it is challenging. I've shot with the baby al vista, and the...

    Kodak Panoram 1D problem

My first guess is that the 1D has a wide slit which affects sharpness. If the slit was narrower you get a sharper image, of course with less exposure. I have two baby al vistas. One is a cheaper version, and has a wide slit. It's images are a lot blurrier, and would be more so on the horizontal...

    Cirkut film in 2018

Nate the Ilford special order cirkut film is the correct thickness. It should be the same thickness as 120 film, but you could use 35mm thickness film too. any thicker and the camera won't run well. I've used the ilford and it's fine.I doubt paper negs would work and you would also have an...
