Replacement of Voigtländer E-messer - Soviet made?

Thanks! I have been offered a Bessa II from a reputable dealer, but the price is steep - 800$. I trust that the camera is cla’d and the price is surely fair. I also found a Moskva4 for about 60$, from an internet listing. I plan to check on that one first.

Replacement of Voigtländer E-messer - Soviet made?

Hi! I forgot my Voigtländer E-messer when packing for a trip to Kyiv, and now need to replace it, at least for the duration of the trip. What cameras would you recommend? I especially use the possibility to wind the film incrementally to make layered multiexposures. I use zone focus, so the...

Film cutter for 35 and 120 film?

Hi, I just sat down to order. The one with included illumination will be my choice, as I don't own a light table. The light source and straight cutting edge seem perfect to me.

Film cutter for 35 and 120 film?

It’s to put the film in negative sleeves after developing. Not lengthwise!

Film cutter for 35 and 120 film?

Hi! Looking for recommendations for buying a film cutter for both 35 and 120 film, available in the EU. Too scary to cut with scissors. Thanks!

Backup (locally and in the cloud) for an M2 Mac

Thanks everyone for your tips. For some reason, Time Machine does not work flawlessly for me. That's why I am lookin into other ways to backup. Steven, thanks for pointing out NAS, I had not heard about that before. Might be interesting.

Backup (locally and in the cloud) for an M2 Mac

Hi! I have a few hundred gigabytes of data, mostly scanned negatives. As the archive grows, I am looking for a practical and safe backup solution. Until now I have used Time Machine, but also backed up "manually" to an extra external hard drive. I want to switch to automatic backup both...

Camera on which the film can be forwarded less than a frame

That upload was hardly visible.... Here it is in at a greater size. What I get our of this, is a skyline and a hint of a city below. I was inspired by Jacob Felländer's exhibition "I want to live close to you" and want to see if I can achieve something similar. This one is maybe a first...

Camera on which the film can be forwarded less than a frame

Here is an example, of what I did on mediumformat, with my folder. This one is contact printed. Click on "instagram link" to see a bigger version. I hope to make similar pictures, but with a bit more of detail and variation.

I bought mine in Kyiv for 200 hryvna, approximately 7-8 USD. I am sure they can be ordered from to a comparable price.

Camera on which the film can be forwarded less than a frame

I already picked up a smena 8m, at my favourite photo store here in Kyiv (fotolavka), I hope this will solve my problem. The shutter is unrelated to the winder as far as I can tell. When I come home I will post an example what I got with my Voigtländer E-messer and this idea. Hope to do...

Camera on which the film can be forwarded less than a frame

Thanks! I am actually in Kyiv at the moment, so I could probably find a Smena here. I’ll look for that. Liubitels are a bit larger, a small camera seems perfect for my photo idea.

Camera on which the film can be forwarded less than a frame

hi, Asking for equipment recommendation. I have a medium format folder on which the film can be forwarded just a little bit each time. I make multiexposures in panorama format with it. Now I am searching for something similar for 35mm. It can be low-fi, not looking for sharpness or contrast...
