i used alpas on and off a period of 10 years. they had best rewind i have ever used. the shutters were problematic. i had 4 alpas and and each one had problems with the shutter. part of their appeal to me was the way they fit in my hand.
an Alpa 9d. I had problems with it, and the Apo-Switar 1.8 wasn't very good at infinity. I went on to buy three more Alpas and had problems with all of them.

I had the canon 28mm 3.5 Serenar ltm 3.5. It wasn't very sharp, especially the edges. Contrast was so-so. I was glad to get rid of it.

i have been using a 50mm coated sumar and find it sharp as a tack with beautiful bokeh. of all my lenses it has the most leica glow. it is a truly outstanding lens. another winner, in my opinion, is the 135 tele-elmar.
i had a 28/3.5 for my leica 2f. since it was my only lens, i got to use it quite a bit. it wasn't very sharp, especially at the edges. i don't recall getting a very usable 8x10 out of it. when, sometime later, i used a 28/2.8 for my canon slr, i found that lens very good. comparing a ltm lens...
