Wasn't trying to worry you really.
The post was just to clarify the ways in which the new and old M6 are the same and different internally.
It would be nice though to see Leica leveraging this to extend support to old M6 users. I am hopeful that they are trying to do so.
Not sure if this has been addressed here yet but had a nice chat with Leica Customer Service about meter boards for old M6s vis-a-vis Jesko's comments on the reintroduction of the model:
"We were able to repair M6 classic metering before the launch of reissue. We had a lot of parts left since...
On a similar note will carriers for 7454 work on 7451?
All these model designations are confusing and I can't find any info on the internet to guide on what fits and what does not.
Any help appreciated.

FWIW I have seen someone else expand on this design. They have provided for the film advance. But no 120 or film cleaning.

I just meant it didn't clarify visual difference between bromide drag and x-ray damage.
I'm sorry if the tone came off as rude. I appreciate the time you took to help me. Thank you.
This was an old style x-ray machine. Other films that went thru do not present this issue. I suppose that doesn't rule it out. Still worried it might have been that.
That said, your answer is deeply opaque. One cannot know what "just does not behave that way" means other than to take it in...
