Absolutely agree with cropping the top window out. It really takes on a whole new feel as I crop it out on my monitor, just enough to get it off the paper though. I like the shadow and highlight detail in the scan, that must mean it looks much better on the print.
 
I like the cool stillness you've captured in contrast to the sun's heat beyond the pillars. Good detail in the shadows and sun
 
Can't decide about the window, but from the composition's point of view, it must stay as it is. To crop it out would ruin the balance of the columns in their entirety, although I might be inclined to straighten the vertical lines at left and right a little bit. The arch in the background really works well to pull one into this shot. Tonality is perfect, especially for rollfilm and a scene with this contrast range. Very well done. tim
