Hybrid approach to colorizing black & white film.
I wanted to create a photo for my blog for Friday the 13th, but with a play on the numbers.

studio (under re-construction) with available flat ambient lighting
Equipment Used
Linhof MT + Nikkor SW 150/5.6
Exposure
f/22 @ 2 sec
Film & Developer
HP5+ and Rodinal semi-stand 1:100
Hybrid Materials & Processing
HP5+ film was digitized using a medium format digital camera.
Digital Post Processing Details
File was taken into photoshop for added color.

It's really a beautiful image. Great job. If it were me I'd trace the outline, transfer it w/ carbon and make a big watercolor. Even if it took twenty sheets of Fabriano papers to nail it, it would be worth it.

Wish I knew more about the process you talk about, but I don't. I am just a straight film and digital shooter, but I enjoy looking at all types of photos and processes.
