I find the out of focus background rather interesting (and I find the subject interesting, also). I never 'studied' bokeh, but this just might be my education. It kind of adds a three-dimensional aspect to the image. The composition works, as well. Maybe 'all' film should be IR, as the palette and tonal renditions are so bold and beautiful. - David Lyga
