Good current affairs photography. Just a pity that her pithy and grim placards do not accord with her expression in terms of impact but all the more eye catching and thought provoking as a picture

As the first commenter said, I think she does look like she's having too much fun instead of trying to point out what was on her mind. I wonder if she was displaying placards like that during the last four years of hate?

I don't know, her cheeky grin brings Janey Godley to mind which is entirely apt.
This is a great photo - knowing the country of origin adds to the story being told and I'm grateful to anyone reporting from around the world - as pentaxuser said, it's good current affairs photography, and I've always been grateful for that.

Thanks Pentaxuser. I asked for the photograph and she kindly agreed. I thought her expression was appropriate at the time.

Thanks Kenny. I wondered as well. As far as I can remember, she spoke with an American accent.

Thanks Molli. Janey Godley's Trump protest was hugely popular here in Scotland and elsewhere.
