Pioneer Cemetery

another 4x5 scan from the archive project .... i remember being worried at the time that i couldn't get a fast enuf shutter speed in the breezy conditions, but (as usual) turned out that going with the conditions was better than going with my head
Location
Polk Co., Oregon
Equipment Used
4x5 calumet + 135mm nikor
Pretty cool. I wonder what would happen if you killed the really bright are of the stone to downplay it some?

exactly my thinking ...... actually, it burned down well back when i printed it, some years back -- in fact, i printed it much darker overall .... this is a straight neg scan, tho, and i didn't photoshop it

Really poignant image, cemeteries are actually great places to shoot, seems odd, but there you are. I also like the blur of the flowers, makes the shot.
