The rocks have a wonderful rhythm to them.

Hi Curt, sure, this was taken in Carmel (Monterey Penin.) right off Scenic Dr. about a mile north of Pt Lobos Reserve. Hundreds of cars drive and people walk on Scenic everyday and through the neighborhood behind my camera. Thanks for your comment(s). This part of the road was also used in "Play Misty For Me".

Fantastic tonality and textures. I wonder if it needs a little more balance at the top, maybe a slightly increased burn although maybe not all the way across? Not sure!

I enjoy this a lot, but I too feel extra burning to emphasise the sky a little. It will provide separation from the sea. At the moment I find my eye hunting for the horizon that I expect to see.

I think the print is sound with current placement of values. The sea and sky lie in creamy mid tones, while the rocks reside in course darker values. This creates an interesting contention between the foreground and background. If anything, I would darken the rocks even more to further differentiate the foreground with the background and enhancing the visual and emotional drama of the print. This would suely give the viewer something think about.
