Yet another rock/pebble picture- sorry, there are a lot of those (rocks) up in northern Michigan. From the recent APUG gathering with Bill Schwab.

Nice, I like the tones. Must have been taken during the two week period it wasn't covered with snow

Thanks Mike and Dan. Mike, we were there for an absolutely beautiful weekend at the end of June- great time. Dan, the tones on the print are subtilely purplish in the shadows and brownish in the highlights from the two toning steps I used. Unfortunately, I haven't had much success with the scanning in terms of preventing the highlights from blowing out.

All the best,
Daniel

Nice composition with an ambigious scale; the rock could be 6 inches or 6 feet tall.

The banding from bottom to top is well done as is the mini boulder in front. Very well constructed (constructed meant in only the most complimentary way).

You really have produced a wonderful series of photographs from the Michigan gathering. I like all of them a lot, and this one the best so far.

Thank you Marv and Thom. It has been immensely fun to work through all the negatives from this trip. While working on printing each frame, my mind starts to fill-in and elaborate on what I "thought" I saw through the viewfinder at the moment of exposure. The resulting prints are a product of a very erratic filter (i.e. my brain).

All the best,
Daniel
