For the Americana fans out there that Coca-Cola mural is brand new. It was commissioned by the co-owners (and co-tenants) of the building, Monroe Laundry and Sunrise Dental. The total cost was $12,000. It replaced a deteriorating identical advertisement that had been in place for almost a century.

A July 7, 2011 article about the restoration from The Monroe Monitor newspaper:

Yes indeed. And I knew it when I saw it on the ground glass. There's no way to crop it out. I tried moving to hide it behind the tree trunk. But then I lost the "Fair Days" banner. The local State Fair was scheduled to open in eleven days, so I wanted that.

Ok,,, asbestos shorts on,,, gonna say something about digital. Time to break out the healing software and just make 7-11 go byby...Mom used to go to Monroe almost every year for one of the antique shows that had lots of silver and crystal dealers. Neat town. They couldn't even get the Coke folks to spring some money?

Sorry.. no. This is 8x10. Editing out what's in the viewfinder through digital means is just... wrong. I suspect the OP should have taken two shots, one with the 7-11 sign, one without. The differences between an outstanding photo and just another photo is very very slim.
