Dear Tony,Thank you for your comment. I love and prefer dark skies. As you know dark skies make clouds more dramatic and add drama and meaning to photograph.(Of course, depending on clouds and their shape and types and photographer especially analog photographers must be lucky too...)Whenever trees and foliages keep large place in my photograph then I use Tiffen green 58 together with polarizing filter to make sky dark and light green trees if weather is sunny.Have a nice day and kind regardsSevki Umit Ozgen
Dear mfohl,Thank you very much for your comment. Although I am member of Apug more than one year (now I am subscriber) it was first time ever that uploaded this photograph. Upon seeing your comment I thanked and sent msg but could not see my reply on the web site for this reason I am sending this msg again. ( I am a bit novice to use this web site)regardsSevki Umit Ozgen
I certainly agree with your use of heavy filters for great looking skies. I use a #29 filter for most sky work. It makes the sky look like the real shade of blue if really looks like. Give a 29 a try some time and see how you like it. I think the B&W # is 91. Logan
