Kate, is the "tone" a result of the paper/developer combo or is the print toned?

Enjoyed the print either way, and Good to see your post, have missed your work.

Mike, it's the combo. Fomatone is a warmtone paper and PW is a developer developed to be used especially with this paper, to emphasize brown tones. The scanned picture doesn't perfectly match the actual print; the print is a bit warmer.

I love it - on my monitor it has a Duotone or toned lith look to it. very nice Kate

Very powerful image, the mind sees what is there but the spirit feels more than what is seen. It works very well to convey the scale and pathos of humanity overlaid with the patina of time. More, please!

A most effective photograph in that what begins as a representational image makes an excellent transition into abstraction. Good work.
