This is from 2000. I don't shoot much color, but I came across a page of transparencies I had forgotten I had made. It was an October morning and the mist was finally rising from what had been an all encompasing cloud on the river.

Nice. Less is more.
 
color, color, color!!!! John shoots color!!! Just kidding John. That is a gorgeous image; I love the way the mist is rising in the image - you were most definitely f64 and there.
 
I like this, too. It looks like you're using a wide aperture and selective focus at first because the forground is sharp and the background is foggy and misty, until you realize that that's fog and mist in the background.
