Hanoi night panning

Well, you've captured that atmosphere and spirit excellently in this shot! It is not easy to create such a panning shot, but this one has definitely succeeded.

Unprotected and overloaded riding is in vogue in some countries but I wonder what the injury/fatality rate is?

Marco, you are correct that it's not easy to get the panning shots. I probably got one in ten that was usable.
John, I was amazed at how they navigate the roads. They seem to ride with a mixture of confidence & intuition. I suppose it helps that everyone is doing the same. I didn't see any accidents but I was told & also read in the paper that there are a lot of accidents. There are apparently some notorious intersections in Hanoi where most take place.
I was tempted to go for a ride on one of the motorbike taxis, it seemed like it would be great to experience Hanoi on a bike moving with everyone else, but I was too safety conscious.

There is something to be said for risk, makes great pictures.

This is like the other, again very relaxed in a situation where tension should be displayed.
