ah...so, you set up you Sinar at a stranger's house and managed to convince them to let you make a photo of thier garage sale? Bravo! That's something I could only dream of gathering enough guts to do...well done. I like this one.
Yes! Being a student is the "golden ticket". Every Friday & Saturday for the past 3 months I have been waking up a 7:00 or so, to get out to these Garage Sales. It's been really fun and very interesting and strange. I am semi-new to large format (about a year) I had no Idea what I was doing taking a rail camera into these settings, but somehow I have been managing to overcome certain burdens associated with this type of shooting. I have many more images, soon to be uploaded.
You must have stories to tell...I really love to hear some of them. How do you approach people? What do you do if they over react? Do they? Sounds like so much fun and uite a rush at the same time. Reminds me a little bit of Roark Johnson's "Stranger a Day" project.
