Hi, just noticed a comment here. This was found on a sidewalk in Brooklyn at a place called Free Store. I should have posted the wider-angle version too. The other end of the chain is secured to a payphone. Basically it's a community run thrift store except the items are free, and those that enter are encouraged to interact (my firend and I were the only ones there). There is no one tending to the shop, but they have rules posted on the walls; something to the effect of: If it's not chained down you're welcome to it. Inside they had a guitar and other instruments chained down as well. They also a coffee pot, and mini-fridge with basic food for those that are hungry. Neat place.
