Stornorrforsen (Great north stream), Umeå River, North of Sweden. 1958 this stream was silenced by a dam and a water power station upstream. Normally this part of the river is more or less dry. But his year, last time was 15 years ago, the spring flood was so strong due to a snowy winter up in the mountains that they had to open up the dam and let the river float feely.
I love the tones and the acuity in this 'print'. I particularly like the six small trees in the foreground. Without, the composition would not have been as good.
