A good start, however I believe you can see from the print that a bit more work is in order. The subject matter is marvelous! Thank you for sharing!

Keep at it my friend! You will get the hang of it before you know it! It takes alot of practice to get used too, but once you realize the print quality you can get...you will never want too shoot a smaller format.

You didn't load the film upside down, forget to remove the darkslide, forget to close the shutter before pulling the darkslide, or forget to stop down the lens, so I'd say that's a great beginning!

Maybe you've got a little streakiness on the left side--could be a development issue if not the scan. On the right side it looks like you're getting some bellows flare. A lens shade will help to restrict the image circle and reduce that.

The main issues with this photo aren't really LF related. A yellow or orange filter would cut through some of that haze and give you better contrast and detail. Since you're printing on VC paper, it could also help to bump it up one or one and a half grades.

This must be encouraged! I'd suggest printing on a higher grade.
The overexposed part on the right could be due to entering light in the filmholder. I had it before and now I always put the darkcloth over the camera back when the darkslide is out.
