Thanks all. Scott, I made it over the course of two Saturdays, two weekends apart (weekend before last). I made the first 12 plates and then found a small rock and scuffed the parking garage roof where the tripod legs were. Then I marked with masking tape the movements on the camera and kept the tripod legs locked in the same extended position. Then went back two weekends later and got the first plate aligned somewhat closely and shot the other 12 plates. I didn't envision it as 24 plates initially, but after shooting those first 12, liking the results and getting a sense of how it would/could continue. It felt well worth a return trip. The rentacop in the adjourning Chase bank building was taken a bit off guard when he came clamouring over to me. Again, thanks everyone for the comments and kind words.
