Contact Sheet

I don't know how many of you follow Peter Turnley on Instagram, but I recommend it. He's recently had thousands of contact sheets from decades past scanned. It's fascinating to see old ones and a great learning method. Anyway here's one from a recent shoot I did

Thanks! Good to see how #8 emerged in the midst of that roll's more conventional photos. That miraculous #8 is seen well on another of Colin's recent Media images. A gift .

I would also go for the second picture out of the eight.

I think "pensive" in a portrait is more valuable than smile, just as questions are more valuable than answers. Still, people pay for smiles, especially when they're hiding something ....

I'm not sure about Hue's expression. I'm not looking for a commercial smiley type of image, but I don't want to portray him as joyless either. I guess I was just going for the dignity of work and the pride of having one's own work. Great conversation, all!

To be clear, the shot of Hue I posted earlier is from a different camera and time than this one.

...AH ! That does clarify. No matter, that's a fabulous bunch of shots and your contact sheet is instructive.
