I think I like the Nikkor a hair better, but the scans make it hard to tell. Is there more contrast and detail in the Nikkor (especially mid tone) or am I seeing things?
 
I agree, although it is difficult to tell from the scans; I believe this Nikkor is sharper than the 150mm g-claron shot. This 180mm Nikkor was only recently picked up on ebay and it has gorgeous glow to the lens (if that is possible....maybe it is really nice multi-coated lens when compared to my other lens). I was able to get closing with my set up with this lens than I could with the 150mm g-claron. Does that make sense with the 12" bellows draw and these two lens? Please let me know.
