If I could make a suggestion though it would be to darken the shirt and lighten the beard slightly as well to accentuate the face . Good work

Thanks, Phill, for the printing suggestion. This is a straight scan of the negative and simply reflects the natural (overhead) light available in the library. When (if) I ever get access again to a darkroom, I will try various manipulations to see what works best. I will absolutely include your suggestion.

I agree with Phill's suggestion. I love the darkness surrounding his eyes, makes them really pop out. What a character! You should include more info about him.
