Interesting, I can't dismiss this one right away. It has kept me exploring the whole area for more and more. It hooks my attention!

Very nice photo. I think I would like it more if the contrast was lowered by 1/2 to 1 filter number.

Personally, I love this image with the rich blacks and higher contrast, as-is. It adds a nice quality of light and richness to the print, and I dont think it needs to be printed any softer or less contrasty. As long as you are holding detail in the highlights okay, the shadows being pure black is not a problem whatsoever. Very nice work.

I like this one just the way it is. I would bet the print has some detail in the dark areas that we can't see here.

I don't mind the contrast, the print most likely does have contrast in the shadows. A slight crop of the lower edge to maintain aspect ratio, right edge to accentuate the triangular rock, left edge to to the same to the oval rock and just a little off the top to balance it all out. Very nice image. Don't know if Tmax respondes to minimal agitation or not, but it might help bring in the texture more in the shadows (works with efke 100 and pyrocat). tim

I like it with the contrast and the deep blacks. I could see backing off a little, but it wouldn't be necessary.

p.s. I can just tell that there are trout in some of those pools....

Thank you for your generous comments. In the actual print, the contrast is about 1/2 a stop less, as Claire suggested it should be, and that makes a real difference in the luminosity of the print. For some reason the scan raised the image contrast. I think I'll try a print using Tim's suggested cropping and see how that looks. I'm glad others enjoy it as much as I have. Thank you again for taking the time to critique.

I like the contrast as it shows up on my monitor. I am sure the print is even better. I like the overall image.... good work!
