Hey does that look like circular bokeh in the out-of-focus area? You should totally try to maximize it by focusing on something close and opening the lens at its maximum. It works really well with the color tones of your picture. Now I'm tempted to get a Lubitel...

I like the minimalist aspect of the single rose in this setting. Focus is pin sharp where it need to be and aperture well chosen for out of focus background. I wonder if there is any way of darkening the gravestone inscription so the name can be read more easily by increasing print exposure time without it affecting the overall colour balance too much or darkening the rest unacceptably.

Maybe another half to one second would be enough? Nice to see a print from a colour neg.

Due to the wonders of the internet, I could find out who's gravestone this is. His name was Ernst Eickelkamp, pilot of the "Bombengeschwader der Obersten Heeresleitung
Nr. 3 -- 'England-Geschwader' " (bomb squadron of the supreme army command Nr. 3 -- 'England Squadrons'). Born July 28, 1894; died August 22, 1917 in West-Chapelle. Just to add some depth and detail to the history of that grave and photo.
