Bondi Sunset

I've been wanting to explore Instamatic photography while the stocks are still reasonably easy to get. This was shot on Ferrania 126 format. The image is of sunset at Bondi beach. I made a print in the colour darkroom & had to use a glass neg carrier to print the entire frame. 126 frame size is 28x28mm. I noticed that the image actually continues under the frame dividing lines so I decided to include them. Then I decided to include the rest of the film edge as I had never seen sprocket holes like that before. I suppose I'm just fascinated by this film format. I got an OK print however the glass neg carrier gave me some blotchy white marks in the sky. This version is from a neg scan. I like this format & the film. I like the shape, colour & grain. I'll be shooting a lot more of it & I also plan to make a large print of this image.
