Bleak afternoon

Bleak afternoon

I took this last Monday in between rain storms. I was using an original Diana, not one of the new ones. Had Tri-X and the meter suggested I would be two stops under with the limited exposure controls of the Diana. Widest aperture is about f/11 and the shutter speed is about 125 I think. So I decided to expose the entire roll two stops under and then push in Adonal. This was about 18.5 minutes at 1:50. The I printed on Foma 123, the velvet stipple type paper & processed in Rollei lith diluted 1+1+20 at about 25 deg C. This was the final image I printed one afternoon & the dev was a bit exhausted - I was rocking the tray for about 15 minutes before the image looked right. Earlier prints came at about 9 to 10 minutes.
The grain effect is all from the paer & lth combination. I made a straight print in Dektol & it is quite smooth.
