Millenium Beacon at Lepe on the Solent at mid-day using selective focus. This was achieved by reversing movements to get a PoF running through the centre of the beacon.

I've tried to do the same thing, but in the darkroom with nylon stockings. This is far better, it works really well.

Another reason for me to get a 4x5.

The strong lighting seems to work quite well too. So can fit this in when unable to make more typical landscape type images.

I have a few others using this idea. The intention now to build up a series of relatively well known landmarks shot in this style.

Mick, I think it is the progressive nature of the out of focus areas which distinguishes this from using soft filters on the camera or in the darkroom.
