Agfachrome 1,000

Agfachrome 1,000

Took this a couple of years ago with a Nikonos V & 35mm lens. Film was the sadly discontinued Agfachrome 1,000. It was dropped even before Agfa Photo went out of business. I've heard people say a lot of bad things about this film, however I like it.

Agfachrome 1000 was a grainy, dirty-looking film with about 10 inherent problems. I loved it and miss it as well. Ditto for the Scotch 1000.

Such an awesome film, I love the muted colour and the large grain.

Pro 800 Z or Portra 800 would probably have similar results (unless of course you are projecting). Some labs still make slides from negatives.

As for a slide substitute, Kodak's P1600 would have given you similar results. Now you have one or two Fuji high-speed offerings, IIRC.

Hi Peter, yeah I loved Scotch 1,000 as well, will post a couple of scans sometime. i think it was discontinued late 90s.
