so Im trying to figure out a successful way to mount filters to multiple lenses with out spending hundreds on a filter system for every camera. I have a hasselblad and got a bayonet to 58mm adapter so I can use all the 58mm filters I have for my canon 35mm camera. so basically Im trying to find a way to mount a 58mm adapter to my oldschool 135mm Kodak 4.7 4x5 lens (came off my old crown graphic and is now being used on my cambo SC monorail) I have the cokin square system (the bigger of the two - cant remember off hand the Letter I think X) and adapters to go to 58mm. so basically Im just looking for a convenient way to mount a 58mm threading to my large format lens. the lens has no threads on it so I would need some sort of manner to clamp it down onto the front element edging I would think. I keep thinking about the way a dome light outer housing surrounds a lightbulb with three screws that hold it in place. seems like something along those lines would work well. I also like the idea of being able to use a lee filter system and square gel filters for convenience. but even these seem to be limited to threaded mounting. thanks in advance.
