My First Film Photo

The very first photo I took with my Intrepid 4x5; admittedly I'm surprised it turned out this well. Had a lot of other flubs that happened but this one came out okay, somehow. Undershot it slightly
Equipment Used
Intrepid 4x5 Camera (2017); Rodenstock Ysarex 127mm in a Prontor-SVS shutter (off a Polaroid Land Camera I believe)
Exposure
(gonna be honest I forgot to write it down and don't remember)
Film & Developer
Expired Kodak Tri-X 320 (date unknown; received as a freebie with the camera) shot at 100 ISO
Paper & Developer
N/A
Lens Filter
N/A
Hybrid Materials & Processing
Photographed with a Negative Supply 4x5 MK2 Light Source and a Fujifilm X-T4.
Digital Post Processing Details
NegaDoctor filter in Darktable; gain/contrast added
On the road now! Keep going!

Practice makes perfect. Keep practicing "the dance" both without film and with film to see the results. Might even want to get a box of .EDU Ultra (rebranded Fomapan) from Freestyle or B&H to eliminated expired film as part of the problems.

Appreciate the advice! I think part of why this one came out so odd was the lens I was using; looks like the coating was coming off of it. I kinda like the effect, but I've already got a replacement lens and some HP5 to mess around with next time. Feeling a lot more comfortable with developing film.

Coating -- even uneven coating -- won't do this. The marks in the sky are either due to poor storage of the film (probably before you got it) or a development problem. Not to mention a few fingerprints upper left...

better than my first photo!!!! actually i like it - warts and all.

if you'd allow me some input.... look on photrio for a member near you, invite them over for some lunch and photography!
